Zoom (finally) Rolls Out End to End Encryption
Zoom has started rolling out end to end encryption for its users. After initially saying that they would only offer it for paying customers, but in the end they have relented and made it available to all users.
You do, however, have to jump through some hoops to get end to end encryption. You will need to manually switch it on in your settings and all meeting participants will also need to have it on for the calls to use encryption. You'll also have to be on the latest version of the client.
Pro Tip: If you see the green shield icon in the top left of your call, you're encrypted.
Here's hoping that this helps Zoom overcome some of the security fears that have been out there in the marketplace.
